A Kiss for Easter...

Last night at our Church's Easter service, we saw a really neat video...a modern retelling of the story of Jesus.

Since I spend time in the twitterverse--I enjoyed this version.  Hope you like it!

Now, for my Easter card...
Weeks ago I saw Lydia (Understand Blue) and Leslie (Crooked Stamper)  play with the Kissing Technique and completely SQUEEEE'd when I saw it and knew I'd have to try!  I spent an hour trying many different color combonations/contrasts to see what would look best...and I decided on this:

All supplies Stampin' Up! Stamps: Ornate Blossom, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper/Ink: Certainly Celery, Melon Mambo
Stampin' Up! 3" and 3.5" Bigz dies, dots embossing folders, window punch, corner chomper

Happy Easter!

Bliss

Here's a cute card using the Bliss Stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration (SAB) catalog...which is now retired. Sorry. :(  It's my favorite set from this year's SAB.  I grumbled a bit cutting out the butterflies and flowers hahaha....and used direct ink to paper on the edges of the butterflies to have them stand out a little bit.

Stamp set: SU! Bliss, Sale-A-Bration 2011
Ink: SU! Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo, Early Espresso, Certainly Celery, Basic Black, Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: SU! Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake, Whisper White scrap
Accessories: Paper piercing kit

My daughter requested a get well card for one of her teachers who was going to have surgery.  I literally made this at the last minute...using the scallop punches and the super cute whale stamp.  No bling...it was for a man hahaha.

Ink: Stampin' Up! Brilliant Blue (retired), Pacific Point, Baja Breeze
Paper: SU! Crumb Cake, Temping Turquoise, Brilliant Blue, Baja Breeze
Accessories: XL Scallop Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, XL Circle Punch

My brother, Skip, spent the week with us for Spring Break....and I encouraged Lydia to break away from her day job to come meet us at The Salt Lick for some amazing BBQ and laughs. Good times!

Two of the funniest people I know.  My abs got a good workout!!

This weekend is the San Antonio Highland Games....all things Scottish! SQUEEE!! I just realized I don't have a proper celtic or Scottish stamp...I'll have to remedy that promptly!
